On 1 July the EU citizens gathering will take place in Birmingham bringing together EU citizens, community leaders, civil society organisations and academics from across the UK.
For the past 5 years the EU delegation to the UK has organised the EU Citizen’s Gathering to celebrate the contributions of EU citizens and their communities in the UK and the civil societies that support them.
This year’s event will explore the theme “EU citizens at work” looking at how the EU diaspora strengthen EU–UK relations through their work, entrepreneurship, culture and community.
The EU Citizens’ Gathering, celebrates the invaluable contributions that millions of EU citizens are making to the social, economic, and cultural fabric of British society. The event is an opportunity to reflect on the deep, historic and lasting bonds between EU citizens and UK communities —bonds based on shared values, mutual respect, and a future built on cooperation.

The event will welcome EU citizens, civil society organisations and stakeholders from across the UK. It is organised in collaboration with the University of Birmingham and the3million and will take place on Birmingham University campus.
Join us as we gather again this year to honour the work of EU citizen, discuss key issues, strengthen networks and build bridges with policymakers.
