Do you need support for EU communities?

We can provide lawyers to individuals, community groups and professionals.

If you work with EU communities who need information about the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS), or legal assistance to make applications to the EUSS, we can provide lawyers for free to support your work.

An information session helps get information on the EU Settlement Scheme out to large groups of people. Our lawyers can provide information and answer questions on EU law, rights in the UK, and navigating the EU Settlement Scheme for example, or on a specific topic.

Practical Information:

  • These sessions are helpful for EU communities, or professionals
  • Minimum 50 people attending
  • In-person or online
  • Across the UK
  • Up to 2 hours
  • The organisation requesting the service will need to take care of the logistics (setting up, promotion, hosting, interpretation, and follow up support).

An advice surgery helps people who are vulnerable, or complex cases, and for those unable to make applications to the EUSS without the help of a lawyer. Our lawyers can provide free legal assistance to help answer questions, suggest next steps, and signpost for further legal assistance.

Practical Information:

  • These sessions are helpful for EU communities
  • In person or online
  • Minimum 5 people booked
  • Up to 4 hours
  • We accept bookings from community organisations, civil society organisations, local authorities, or a non-for-profit entity.
  • A support worker from the organisation booking should attend the surgery.
  • The organisation requesting the service will need to take care of the logistics (setting up, promotion, hosting, interpretation, and following up).

An expert advice session provides in depth information and support for those working on cases under the EU Settlement Scheme or alternative immigration routes for EU citizens.

Practical Information:

  • These sessions are for professionals only (including volunteers)
  • We accept bookings from Local Authorities, non-profits and charities, and community support organisations
  • In-person or online
  • Across the UK
  • The organisation requesting the service will need to take care of the logistics (setting up, promoting, hosting and follow up).

Please contact our team if you have specific requirements, or you need more information about these services.

Your form has been submitted

Thank you for requesting a lawyer for your event. We will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

The cost of the lawyers’s participation is covered by the European Union, however your organisation will be expected to organise and book the event venue, and manage the logistics of holding the event, invite participants and guests. If your event is to be delivered online only, we can provide assistance with software, scheduling and planning.

Audience

We want to reach as many EU citizens as possible. For information sessions we would like to participate in events that have at least 50 participants registered to attend with no upper limit on that number. For Advice Surgeries, we expect at least 5 people registered for assistance. The maximum number of people we can see in a 4 hour Advice Surgery is 15 people. If you have more than 15 people interested in an Advice Surgery, please complete a new booking form for a new 4 hour booking. There is no upper limit on the number of event bookings one organisation can make.

Preferred date and time

While we aim to provide a lawyer for your preferred date and time, we may suggest alternative dates depending on availability.

How and where will the event be hosted?

For face-to-face events, we are able to provide lawyers and participate in events anywhere in the UK at our expense. This service is entirely free, you do not pay for any costs including the costs of travel to attend your events.

Booking contact

Please provide the contact details for the person responsible for logistics and planning so that we can discuss these topics. For Advice surgeries, we will expect this person to know the names of the people requiring one-to-one legal support, the type of EU Settlement Scheme application they intend to make, and, if delivered online, the software and connection details for each person.
