In this first session of 2026 we look at Electronic Travel Authorisations (ETA). ETAs have been in place for EU citizens since April 2025 but from 25 February 2026 EU visitors will not be able to travel to the UK without an ETA.
In this session an immigration lawyer will cover everything EU citizens need to know about ETAs ahead of the enforcement date including:
The session included points such as: .
- What is an ETA?
- Do EU Citizens need at ETA?
- Do EUSS holders need to apply?
- What if you are a dual EU/UK citizen?
- What if your application for ETA is refused?
These Information sessions are hosted every month on Facebook. They cover a relevant topic about EU citizens in the UK and the EU settlement scheme. The sessions are delivered by an immigration lawyer allowing viewers to share any questions directly with an immigration lawyer.
If you are looking for information about the ETA rules for EU visitors, you can now watch and re-watch the session on our YouTube channel.
To watch and ask live questions, join the next Information session on 28 January 2026. The event will be held on our Facebook page EU in the UK.
